Daniel C. Mees was born, Daniel César Mees. He is an advocate of humanism, secularism and free-thought; a social and religious critic; a contrarian of common social opinion; and lover of popular science, history, economics and political theory. Some of his many influences include Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, John Stuart Mill, Bertrand Russell and Thomas Paine. Mees' written work is comprised of many social topics including religion, non-religion, science, social philosophy and political philosophy. His writing is highly candid and forthright; embracing polemical and critical expression, which noticeably provides authenticity for the title "Blog of Sincerity." "In much of my writing, you will find that I approach certain topics in a mildly undiplomatic manner since I believe political correctness and discretion is contemptible. So, be advised that you might be entering some defiant territory."
